How to avoid harming animals with fashion

As I said what I'm going to show you will try to respect animals. On this purpose I wanted to talk about leather. Many people know how terrible the conditions of animals meant to become fur items are but not many people don't know how cruel the leather industry is. Leather is very used in fashion: shoes, belts, jackets, and so on.What is behind a leather bag or shoe is very cruel. Animals are kept in terrible conditions and starved before they become leather goods. All of products that say "Made in Italy" are the ones to avoid, because the leather comes from India, where the animals are kept in the worst conditions. This is very hard for me because I live in Italy and I didn't know this until not long ago, so i still have many products that are made in Italy and I feel terrible about this. I try avoiding leather choosing vernis bags, belts or pumps, checking that they are not lined inside with leather. Leather is not always selected for the manufacture from cows and calves but it sometimes comes from China and it can be cat or dog skin. In general the best thing would be to avoid leather or buy leather goods at thrift stores so that you don't favor the leather industry. In Italy it's hard to find thrift stores as they are very uncommon but in other countries, especially in the Us there are many of these kinds of shops, in fact when I go there I find beautiful and inexpensive items. While for  clothes it is easy to avoid leather: it's enough to not buy leather jackets (also dresses, pants and whatever is made out of leather) and to choose synthetic leather that is becoming very common.  Also fur is being substituted by synthetic fur and I would recommend buying only items that are visibly synthetic or checking out  the label before buying them. It's important to not buy items with fur that are made in China as they are often made with real fur of cats or dogs. Come ho gia' detto precedentemente, con quello che vi mostrero' cerchero' di essere rispettosa nei confronti degli animali. Su questo proposito ho deciso di parlarvi della pelle. Molte persone sanno quanto siano terribili le condizioni in cui sono tenuti gli animali da pelliccia ma pochi sanno quanto sia crudele l'industria delle pelli. Le pelli sono molto utilizzate nel mondo della moda: scarpe, cinture, borse, giacche, e tanti altri prodotti. Cio' che e' dietro una borsa o una scarpa e' di immensa crudelta'. Gli animali sono tenuti in condizione pessime e denutriti prima de diventare pellame. Tutti i prodotti che sono "Made in Italy" andrebbero evitati in quanto la pelle proviene dall'India, dove gli animali sono tenuti nelle peggiori condizioni possibili. Questo e' molto difficile per me in quanto vivo in Italia e ho scoperto cio'  recentemente quindi ho molti  prodotti in pelle e me ne pento, oltre a sentirmi in colpa. Cerco di evitare la pelle scegliendo borse, cinte o scarpe di vernice, controllando che gli interni non siano in pelle vera. La pelle non e' sempre ricavata da vacche da latte o vitelli,  ma talvolta e' importata dalla Cina e puo' essere pelle di cane o gatto. In generale la miglior cosa sarebbe quella di evitare articoli in pelle o comprare articoli in pelle in un negozietto dell'usato o vintage per non alimentare l'industria delle pelli. In Italia non e' facile trovare "mercati delle pulci" ma in altri paesi, specialmente negli Stati Uniti questi negozi abbondano, infatti quando vado li' trovo articoli bellissimi a prezzi bassissimi. Per i capi di abbigliamento e' piu' facile invece evitare la pelle: basta non comprare giubbotti o altre capi in pelle, scegliendo l'ecopelle che fa lo stesso effetto costa anche di meno. Anche le pellicce possono essere sostituite con quelle ecologiche e vi consiglio vivamente di comprare solamente prodotti che sono palesemente finte oppure controllando l'etichetta prima di acquistarli.
